Imitone

Imitone is a groundbreaking music app created by Evan Balster. It allows the user to control Midi instruments in real-time using their voice. I created the logo and did all of the interface-design. It was a mind boggling project to work on because I had to learn a lot about music theory and music-technology in order to develop visual metaphors for many different concepts and affordances. I was able to develop the logo and the look of the actual app itself in tandem, using the same half-dial motif and colour palette in both. Included here is some concept art from that process. I love interface design and this was a rare opportunity to get my teeth into a big UI job outside of a videogame context.
